Step-By-Step Example: Mashedge for project teams

Here's an example on how a project team can use the Shared Private Web Book feature to improve team productivity.

Let's say the group project for an MBA team is to build the marketing strategy for a new product. Here's how Mashedge can help them in the information gathering phase of the project:

  • Group leader creates a private web book on Mashedge, and gives permission to each member of the group to access the private web book.
  • When each member of the group logs in, they can see the private web book in their "My Favorites" automatically,
  • Group leader creates chapters on various aspects of market research such as competitor info, market segmentation, pricing, advertising strategies, ad agencies etc. More chapters can be added as and when needed by any member of the group.
  • Each group member takes charge on one or two chapters and agrees to add links to the chapter when new information is found on the internet. This helps the member keep track of all the information in one place.
  • With this setup, all members of the group have instant access to all the information found on the internet by the entire team. The team does not do duplicate research and is more productive.
Once the team has completed its information gathering phase by using Mashedge, it can then use a document editor that supports collaboration (such as Google docs) to write the actual document.
